When we bought our home in 2008, it flooded the first week we owned it. There was only about an inch and a half of water, but we had newly sanded and unfinished wood floors down there. We didn't know what to do and called Utah Disaster. They brought in a lot of equipment and set up shop for two weeks. When they left, not only did they ruin the walls and other floors in the house - the wood floor in the basement wasn't salvageable (and tried to charge us $13,000). Furthermore, our insurance wouldn't cover the floor. After about a year, the wood dried. This ended in rolling foot tall waves of wood floor running the length of the room.
Well, that was frustrating, but Amber and I don't take up a lot of space. So, we decided to do what we could and leave the floor as it was... until now!
Behold!
We'd like to thank Tony for making it possible. Check out his work - it's good. The tack, pad, and carpet was laid in about 2 hours.
Now, we have to decide if we are going to paint the downstairs and what new furniture we need.
